Ravinder Bachireddy MD, FACC, FCCP, FSCAI, ABVLM Diplomate received his Medical Degree at Osmania Medical College, Osmania University in 1973, his internship and residency were completed at Albert Einstein College Bronx/Lebanon Hospital from 1975-1978, and his fellowship from 1978-1980. Dr. Ravinder Bachireddy founded The Heart Institute of East Texas, P.A. in 1982. He, along with colleagues, brought state-of-the-art technologies to Lufkin and developed it as a regional Cardiovascular hub. He was instrumental in starting the CV Surgery Program at both CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial and Woodland Heights Medical Center.  He is committed to transforming CV Care in Deep East Texas. As Cardiology Champion, Dr. Bachireddy led the team at CHI Memorial to earn the American College of Cardiology's highest accreditation, “The Heart Care Center National Distinction of Excellence" and highest accreditations in Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Cath Lab with PCI, and Electrophysiology in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and Pioneer Award in 2019 from ACC – one of the first 10 hospitals to receive such an award. As Chief of Cardiology and ACC Champion Cardiologist – led the team at CHI St Luke’s Memorial to achieve Heart Failure Accreditation from ACC – the 7th hospital in Texas to receive this recognition. His practice was awarded with TMF Physician Practice Quality Improvement Gold Award in 2019. Provided Leadership for The Heart Institute of East Texas in Quality Reporting and in 2018 HIET was awarded a certificate of recognition for its commitment to providing high-quality cardiovascular care as demonstrated by participation in the NCDR “PINNACLE Registry” by the ACC. The Heart Institute of East Texas was recognized as Small Business of the Year by the Lufkin Texas Forest Country by Governor Gregg Abbott and the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the year in 2017. Dr. Bachireddy was Recognized as “Lufkin Man has Heart for East Texans’ Health” by Lufkin Daily News in 2013. Dr. Bachireddy - Awarded Healthcare Professional of the Year Award by Angelina County Chamber of Commerce in 2008, Voted by Readers’ Choice, Lufkin Daily News as “Best Cardiologist” for 13 years. KTRE 9 Platinum Award, the Favorite Cardiologist, was given to Dr. Bachireddy in 2010. Recognized as The Cardiologist Who Made a Difference in Lufkin, The Lufkin Daily News in 1999. The first honoree, Dr. Bachireddy was recognized as Legacy of Legends for the Medical Service Legend award by Hospice in the Pines. Selected by peers as an outstanding practicing doctor and named to Super Doctors list – Hall of Fame in Texas Monthly for 15 years in a row. In 2021, named Hall of Fame Super Doctors Legacy Member. Dr. Bachireddy is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Heart Association, and the American College of Cardiology.
